“The Merseburg Spells: Germanic Paganism”: From Mimisbrunnr.info to Print

Like the Comparative Völuspá before it, we’re happy to report that another project that began here on Mimisbrunnr.info has now produce a full-length book with additional art, discussion, and material: The Merseburg Spells: Germanic Paganism by philologist Joseph S. Hopkins. Ultimately a development of this article on Mimisbrunnr.info, Hopkins’s book features introductions from scholars John Lindow (University of California, Berkeley) and Alexander Sager (University of Georgia) as well as art from Mimisbrunnr.info regular Rim Baudey and Jacqui Alberts Lund of Wovnwyrm tattoo and is now available from Hyldyr. This book was produced in tandem with the development of our new web-based database, the first of its kind, Merseburg Echoes. Check it out!
